My sister brought over fresh tomato's the other day from the garden. I do not have a green thumb so she plants extra for me. I enjoy having fresh fruit and vegetables each year. We tend to trade off talents, she helps me with a garden each year and making cookies at Christmas, in turn I help her with sewing and scrapbooking projects. We decided to make fresh salsa and stewed tomato's with all of the produce. My husband is the cook in the family, I'm more of the helper (clean up helper) anyways he made the salsa and I worked on the stewed tomato's. I then freezer them for later use thru out the year. Since the weather so perfect we decided to have SUNDAY BRUNCH (really it was me that wanted brunch and he went along with it, only because he knew that I would then have to do something that he wanted to do. This is how it works when your married) The menu included Frittata with mushrooms with fresh salsa on top, blackberry whip (I made this, it's so easy just use mix blackberries with cool whip) we sat on the back patio and enjoy the company of each other.
You can tell that Fall is near the weather is starting to turn and the trees now have red and yellow leaves mixed in with the green leaves. What more could you ask for.
