A day on the road.

Today I had to go to Sun Valley for a project that I'm working on. I made sure that I took the camera this time, for or as many years that I have gone up there for work, I have never taken my camera to capture the beauty of the scenery.
It is a 3 hour drive from my house to Sun Valley. The drive from Boise to Mountain Home is just straight and not worth talking about, but once you head out of Mountain Home, it is a beautiful drive. Today the clouds were storming in the sky over the mountains, but every now and then the sun rays would come peek out and shine over the landscape. The fields were cut and golden in color, the wind was blowing and the grass would move along in rythum.
I had a surprise picture that I just have to tell you about. I had stop for the forth time to take a picture of the snow covered mountains ( I just love the mountains) as I was turning around to get back into the car, I look up and across the street and noticed a sheep dog and a herd of sheep on the dirt road. The sheep farmer's (I'm not sure if this is what they are called, but I will call them this) bring their sheep down from the high mountains in the fall to the valley for the winter. It is so strange to see a herd of sheep coming down main street in Hailey and Sun Valley. ( this is not a common site for a city girl, so it is just different to me). I just had to take a picture.
You will notice I took alot of pictures of the old homesteads and old run down building, I just love the charm of them and wonder about how lived there and what they did.
